There is nothing like experiencing the joy of a pet's unconditional love," said hospital director Dean J. Cerf. "We hope to help as many pets as possible get a second chance to share that love."

Last year, more than 250 animals found homes thanks to the 1,000 people who came to the event.

"Our slogan is ‘Open your heart and home to a friend for life,'" hospital administrator Keith Harris said. "We invite people to help us adopt more pets at this event than ever before."
