RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- The Ridgewood Public Library's Martha Glaser Friday Night Culture Series opens on Friday night, April 29, with a screening of "She's Beautiful When She's Angry," a discussion with its director and a reception.
"Join us for a riveting documentary that resurrects the buried history of the outrageous, often brilliant women who founded the modern women's movement from 1966 to 1971," a news release notes.
The film progresses from the founding of the National Organization for Women -- "with ladies in hats and gloves" -- onward, including the street theatrics of WITCH, the Women's International Conspiracy from Hell. You can view a trailer at the film's website. The film has a 92-minute runtime.
Register here or call 201-670-5600.
The reception will begin at 7 p.m., and the film will begin at 7:30. The Ridgewood Public Library is located at 125 North Maple Ave. To keep up with events at the library, visit its website, or follow it on Facebook or Twitter.
