The far right wall is mirrored and the others will soon be coated in chalkboard paint and embellished with quotes and mantras, said running coach Aidan Walsh, who opened his E. Ridgewood Avenue store last summer.
Walsh and his business partner Lindsay Finkel launched Active Life Fusion on Chestnut Street to incorporate a "non-cardio" side of Racefaster's running programs.
“This is a good fit for us,” said Walsh, who brought a second Racefaster store to the Garden State Plaza last fall.
“Racefaster is a lot of competing, racing, triathlons and running but the part that it didn’t do was the body, mind, stretching and pilates."
Active Life Fusion is having a grand opening on April 30 at its new studio.
The Chestnut Street facility was occupied by Powerflow Yoga before relocating to its Glen Rock facility earlier this year.
Walsh and Finkel felt saw the newly-open space as the perfect place to call home for Active Life Fusion.
The fitness company will offer just what its name suggests: integrated and specialized fitness classes.
“Every person can have a well-balanced wellness regime here," said Finkel, who is looking forward to leading an outdoor run as a warm-up for a unique yoga class for runners. “The outdoor-indoor [classes] are hard to find and they're fun to do as a group."
Active Life Fusion is located at 80 Chestnut St. in Ridgewood.
