RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — Ridgewood officials and seafood fanatics alike gathered on Oct. 20 to celebrate the grand opening of Fish Urban Dining.

Jim and Karen DeGilio established their E. Ridgewood Avenue restaurant in July in an historic former Bank of America branch.

"We wanted to open a location away from the shore where we have our other restaurants," Jim DeGilio told Daily Voice. The couple also own Fish Asbury Park and Cibo e Vino, also in Asbury Park.

“We looked at the building and knew that we could not say 'no,'" said Karen DeGilio, who set up a special dining area in the same room as one of the old vaults.

”Ridgewood was such a natural fit since many of our customers traveled from here when we owned locations in Long Beach Island,” she said. "This is the perfect pairing."
