RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- In baseball, timing can be everything, especially when it comes to trades.
In talks about a 2014 "almost" trade between Atlanta and New York, timing and decisions might come back to bite both teams, according to NJ.com.
During the 2014 trade talks, reports say Atlanta nearly traded four veteran players to the New York Yankees, including Ridgewood's Jason Heyward, according to NJ.com. Instead, a smaller deal took place and the Yankees and Braves finished the deal by swapping Manny Banuelos for David Carpenter, said NJ.com.
