Ridgewood PD: Two Teens Hospitalized, Hostess Charged In Drinking Party

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – Two underage teens were hospitalized for alcohol intoxication, 15 other people received summonses and a 46-year-old Ridgewood party hostess was arrested, police said Friday.

Officers who responded to reports of a “loud juvenile party” at a Prospect Street home took the woman into custody before releasing her on a court summons, Police Chief Jacqueline Lutchke said.

She was charged with making alcoholic beverages available for consumption, the chief said.

Two juveniles were treated in The Valley Hospital emergency room, Luthcke said.

Twelve other juveniles were released at the scene after delinquency complaints were filed, she said.

Three underage adults were issued complaints for underage possession and consumption of alcohol, the chief said.
