Ridgewood PD: Fair Lawn Bicyclist, 61, Struck By Hit-Run SUV

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – Ridgewood police sought the public’s help finding a hit-and-run driver whose SUV struck a Fair Lawn bicyclist Friday afternoon.

The light blue or light grey vehicle sideswiped the 61-year-old bicyclist and kept going after trying to pass him on North Maple Avenue near Meadowbrook Avenue around 2:30 p.m., Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke said.

The victim was taken to The Valley Hospital with pain down his left side, Luthcke said.
