A clear surveillance image distributed to regional law enforcement agencies led to the arrest of 49-year-old Jeffrey A. Morgan after he contacted the Bensalem, PA police and surrendered, Capt. Jacqueline Luthcke told Daily Voice Friday afternoon.

Morgan was being held in the Bucks County Jail pending extradition to New Jersey to face bank robbery charges.

Morgan passed a note demanding money to a teller at the TD Bank on Franklin Avenue at 4:25 p.m. Tuesday, then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said.

No weapons were involved, Luthcke said.

The Bergen County Sheriff’s Bureau of Criminal Identification collected evidence and the FBI assisted in the investigation.

RIDGEWOOD (May 31) -- Ridgewood police were investigating a bank robbery Tuesday afternoon that occurred three hours after a bank holdup in Lyndhurst.

Unlike the Lyndhurst robber, the bandit at the Franklin Avenue TD Bank around 4:30 p.m. was described as white with graying hair and wearing a black hat and long-sleeved blue shirt.

The FBI responded and the Bergen County Sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Identification collected evidence.
