This year, members of Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal's staff donated school supplies, gently used car seats and other items.

It's an important task, Assistant Bergen County Prosecutor Jessica Gomperts said, "partly because some had to leave everything behind when they fled their abusive homes, but mostly because it provides some sense of normalcy in a scary and difficult situation."
