'No Danger' As Ridgewood Police Do Walk-Throughs Of Village Schools

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Ridgewood police went school-to-school Tuesday afternoon in response to what one source told Daily Voice was a disturbing comment apparently made by a student.

Police Chief John Ward said he couldn't confirm a report that a student's comment prompted the extra caution."There's absolutely no danger," he said. "We're doing walk-throughs while conducting an investigation.

"We've been stepping up our school security checks and trying to do this on a regular basis -- the frequency and the timing of which we vary for strategic reasons," he said.CHECK BACK FOR MORE DETAILS
