RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- A Ridgewood man and his 10-year-old daughter were struck by a car driven by a 79-year-old village resident Saturday night, authorities said.
The girl sustained minor injuries, while her father's "were more serious but not life-threatening," Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke told Daily Voice.
Both were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center, she said.
The driver received a summons for failing to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk after the crash at the corner of Godwin Avenue and Sherman Place just before 9:30 p.m., the chief said.
Village police, firefighters and EMS units responded, along with paramedics from The Valley Hospital.
