Spring break for some districts didn't prevent recorded bomb threats called in Wednesday morning to no fewer than 10 in Bergen County and one in Passaic County.
Those reporting threats included Elmwood Park, Englewood, Fair Lawn, Fort Lee, Hackensack, Hasbrouck Heights, Leonia, Lodi, Midland Park and Paramus, Anthony Cureton of the Bergen County Sheriff's Office told Daily Voice.
Paramus, which was ordered held in place, was in the middle of 10th-grade PARCC testing. Hasbrouck Heights evacuated its high school and middle school.
Hawthorne also reported a call.
Bomb-sniffing dogs were sent to each school.
