Taglia was a “devoted husband and father” and a “beloved” member of the community, according to a GoFundMe page created to help his family with medical bills and funeral costs.
He is survived by his wife Michele, daughter Madison, father Donald, mother Joan, his brother Eric and his fiancé Kathleen, as well as his nieces Mia and Ava.
Taglia was born in Ridgewood and raised in Elmwood Park, where he spent most of his life, before recently moving to Franklin Lakes. He worked with his father and brother in the family business, Commercial Protective Systems in Elmwood Park.
A funeral service will be held Friday 9:30 a.m. at the Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home, 274 Market St., Elmwood Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Scott’s memory to Start 2 Animal Rescue P.O. Box 177, Elmwood Park, N.J. ,07407.
