Edward T. McDonald, 82, Of Ridgewood

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Edward T. McDonald, of Ridgewood, died Nov. 17. He was 82.

He was born Feb. 10, 1934. 

He was a true gentleman who lived for his family and loved his faith. He never knew a stranger. He was an avid sports fan, notorious for his sense of humor, a proud member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Knights of Columbus and an active member of the Hobbyists. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and an MBA, both from Brooklyn Polytechnical Institute. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Kathleen Kuhn, Eddie (Terri) McDonald, Jimmy (Cathy) McDonald, Judy (David) Zied, Nancy (Joe) Steadham and Sean (Debbie) McDonald; siblings, Jim, Roberta, Jack and Joe; and grandchildren, James, William, Drew, Patrick, Katie, Brian, Tommy, Sean, Danny, Maggie, Anna, Joe, Mary, Nancy, Michael, Charlie, Megan, Jack and Molly.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 1 Passaic St., Ridgewood. Visiting will be from 3-7 p.m. Monday at the Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Ave., Ridgewood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name to the Muscular Dystrophy Association would be greatly appreciated.
