WESTWOOD, N.J. — A Westwood driver lost control and swerved onto railroad tracks after being hit by another car just moments before a train was coming, witnesses report.
The Pascack Valley Line train 1629 engineer was able to stop the train one engine-length away from the Toyota sedan on the tracks, NJ Transit said.
Injuries were not known as of 11:45 p.m. Tuesday.
The incident caused brief delays. Service has resumed to the Pascack Valley Line.
