BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. – The local Bergen County forecast from the National Weather Service predicts a wild Friday with thunderstorms leading into a comfortable weekend.

Friday will be warm with the daytime high reaching 77, but as the day goes on, the chances for storms will increase to roughly 80 percent. Rain totals could fall between a tenth and quarter of an inch.

As for the weekend, once the rain and clouds clear out late Friday, Saturday and Sunday look sunnier and cooler.

Daytime highs will reach 64 on Saturday and 68 on Sunday, with nighttime lows hitting 45 on Saturday and 50 on Sunday.

Columbus Day looks sunny and warm, with highs hitting 71.
