The Selvage Avenue celebration of Parker's life and legacy will begin at 5 p.m., with the unveiling scheduled for 7 p.m.
Parker, who died in April at 44 years old, was the first African-American woman to be mayor of a Bergen County municipality.
The township is collecting back-to-school items in recognition of Parker's love and support of youth. Donations are being accepted through Aug. 25 at 148 Church St., Teaneck.
