RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — Ridgewood residents can rest assured that the underground electrical system is working as it should.
Two PSE&G workers had the intersection of Maple Avenue and E. Ridgewood Avenue blocked off on Nov. 5 to perform routine maintenance to the electric network, Ridgewood Police Officer Sean Amaruso told Daily Voice.
The two PSE&G officials descended into the manhole using a ladder causing a minor traffic jam at the intersection.
"Just like you've got to change your oil and get routine maintenance on your car," Amaruso said. "We've got to do the same thing here to make sure everything is working the way it should."
