Detectives from Orangetown spotted Victoria Desimone of Orangeburg on Monday across from the new Towne Centre shopping mall/residential high-rise on Anderson Avenue -- barely a quarter-mile from her former home on Shannon Place -- after conferring with local police.

"She got on a bus to go to Mass and never returned," Cliffside Park Police Chief Richard Gaito told Daily Voice on Tuesday. "She ended up here."
