Jamie Fox, an influential political figure in New Jersey, died on Monday. He was 62 years old.
Upon hearing the news of the passing of Jamie Fox Monday, Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto (D-Bergen/Hudson) lauded the influential New Jersey political operative.
“We have lost a public servant. We have lost a mentor. We have lost a friend. We have lost a true New Jerseyan,” Prieto said.
“It's impossible to detail the many ways Jamie Fox will be missed. It's impossible to measure his loss.
“I will miss him and his friendship, as I know so many others will, too. On behalf of the General Assembly, I send my condolences to all his friends and family."
A Democrat, he held key posts in the administrations of three governors.
In recent years, he was charged in connection with a bribery scheme but had maintained his innocence.
