BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. — A meal-kit delivery service will be donating thousands meals to Englewood Cliff's Table to Table to bring to 40,800 families across Bergen County.
The meals, which will include turkey, cranberry sauce, apple and pumpkin pie, seasonal vegetables and potatoes, and were made possible by HelloFresh subscribers in the region who had their regular deliveries donated.
Meals will go to families in the following municipalities:
- Little Falls
- Fair Lawn
- Park Ridge
- New Milford
- Saddle Brook
"We are so thankful to the at-home cooks, who span not only the tri-state area but all of the eastern U.S., who donated their meals to help us feed the less fortunate this Thanksgiving," said Julie Sciaino, Director, Recipient Relations and Community Affairs for Table to Table.
"These meals will go a very long way toward making this a happy holiday for all of them."
Table to Table is the first and only food rescue program in Northeast New Jersey solely dedicated to redistributing prepared and perishable foods to not-for-profit organizations that feed hungry people in Bergen, Passaic, Hudson and Essex counties since 1999.
HelloFresh expects to donate 85,000 meals nationally – to Alameda County Community Food Bank thanks to its subscribers in the western region, Table to Table in Bergen, NJ, thanks to its subscribers in the eastern and Atlantic states, and the North Texas Food Bank outside of Dallas, thanks to its subscribers in the Great Plains and Central-South regions.
