BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. — Pay attention and stay focused — a dense fog advisory is in effect until 1 p.m. for Bergen County on Monday, Dec. 14, with visibility less than a quarter mile. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility, and showers are expected to roll through later this afternoon.

  • Today: Widespread dense fog continues until 1 p.m., with a chance of showers after 4 p.m. Otherwise, it will be cloudy, with an unseasonably high temperature near 66. Tonight, showers and thunderstorms are likely before 11 p.m., as temperatures drop to 53. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.
  • Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 63. West winds 13 to 17 mph. At night, temperatures dip to around 41. Northwest wind 8 to 15 mph.
  • Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 54. At night, there’s a 20 percent chance of drizzling rain after 1 a.m., with a low around 44.
  • Thursday: Rain is likely all day and into the evening, with a high near 56.
