A judge ordered Susan Lopez, 29, held on $35,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with computer theft and forgery, among other counts.

Members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office White Collar Crimes Unit and Ridgewood police began investigating after the doctor notified them of the thefts in late March.

Lopez "forged and issued checks from the doctor’s office business account and had used the account to make illicit online e-banking payments," Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said on Saturday.

Lopez also "created and utilized an American Express corporate account using the doctor’s office corporate identity" that she used to buy things for herself, Grewal said.

Detectives from his office and village police arrested Lopez at her Walker Street home on Thursday, the prosecutor said.

A May 27 Bergen County Municipal Court arraignment in Hackensack was scheduled.
