RIVER EDGE, N.J. — A 22-year-old college student from River Edge is in critical condition after falling from rocks at a waterfall near his Connecticut university, NBC reports.

Adam Messing, who is schedule to graduate on Sunday, was airlifted by LifeStar to a local hospital after falling during a hike with friends, the article says.

A bystander began performing CPR immediately following the incident and several people rushed to help him, NBC reports.
