Kathleen FitzGerald Of Ridgewood Dies, 48

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — Kathleen FitzGerald of Ridgewood died on Oct. 17, after a battle with brain cancer. She was 48.

Born in Bristol, Conn., Kathleen was the youngest of seven children. She graduated from Albertus Magnus High School in Bardonia, NY., The College of Mount Saint Vincent and Fordham University, where she earned her Masters of Business Administration. 

Following her graduation from Fordham, she was selected by the prestigious Standard and Poor Company in New York. 

She continued her career at GE Capital where she distinguished herself as a Six Sigma Black Belt and the American Express Company. Kathleen was most recently a homemaker and volunteered at Oasis, A Haven for Women & Children in Paterson. 

Kathleen was known for her genuine kindness and her belief in the goodness of others. She lived her life with happiness, love and grace. 

Kathleen is survived by her husband, Brian; her three children Colin, Finn and Teagan; and her mother, Dolores. She was predeceased by her father, Frank Murphy.
