Demsey got a degree in psychology from Arizona State University, but earned All American honors while there, for four consecutive years. He was also on the winning American Walker Cup team, in 1993. Demsey's college roommate was Phil Mickelson, who's also now a golf pro.
Demsey was inducted into ASU's Sports Hall of Fame in 2006. He has played on multiple PGA Tours, but has been hampered by medical issues, including back injuries and a tumor behind his left sinus.
He now has a golf coaching business, Todd Demsey Golf.
