The Chicago Cubs’ right fielder will be turning 27 on Tuesday.
Heyward, or “J-Hey,” was originally the first-round pick for the Atlanta Braves in the 2007 MLB draft from Henry County High School in Georgia.
His minor league career began at 17 years old. Three years later, Heyward debuted in the MLB as the Braves’ starting right fielder on Opening Day in 2010.
