CRESSKILL, N.J. — "The Voice" contestant Josette Diaz of Cresskill played original material alongside other cast members with "BillboardLive."

The 17-year-old brought her signature blue guitar and sang "Hush," a song she wrote for a friend going through a breakup.

"I couldn't really do much for her because I was getting on a plane and putting my phone on airplane mode," she said. "The most I could do for her was write this song."
