The Englewood-based nonprofit selected a new logo designed by creative director Ryan Huban. Huban is engagement director with Words and Pictures Creative Service, an award-winning marketing agency based in Park Ridge.

The new logo is an important component of ArtsBergen’s initiative as an emerging arts alliance for the county.

Huban, who lives in Hackensack and is from Leonia, will receive recognition, design credit and a $500 honorarium.

The new logo was selected for ArtsBergen's diverse uses and its flexibility for mobile, digital and print applications. The design will be rolled out to brand ArtsBergen's mission to energize and unify artists and arts organizations and connect the Bergen County community to the arts.

“We wanted a logo that could be adapted for ArtsBergen’s different purposes and tailored to the initiative’s needs,” said Michael Shannon, president of NNJCF. “The design offers a dynamic framework that may be customized to reflect ArtsBergen’s growing range of events and activities."

Huban said the new logo functions as a scalable branding system. "Through simplicity and sophistication, the logo stands on its own, but can also expand within the context of its environment and even interact with other design or photographic elements."

In October 2014, the NNJCF released an open call for artists and graphic designers to submit their portfolios and an application for consideration. Applicants were reviewed on artistic sensibility, creativity and experience creating logo design work.
