RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- The Ridgewood League of Women Voters announces their new executive slate for 2016-17.

  • President: Anne Burton Walsh
  • 1st Vice President: Carol Bracco Ghazey
  • 2nd Vice President: Jane Shinozuka
  • Secretary: Linda McNamara
  • Treasurer: Janet Anderson
  • Voters Service Directors: Joan Burns, Patty Infantino

The first meeting of the new season is 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15, at the Patrick A. Mancuso Senior Center in Village Hall, 131 N. Maple Ave., Ridgewood.

The new president, Walsh, is a graduate of Ridgewood High School (1991), Duke University (1995) and Cornell Law School (2001). In her professional career, she clerked in the Southern District of NY and later worked as an associate at Davis Polk and Wardwell.

She resides in Ridgewood with her three children and husband, Joe.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages the informed and active participation in government.

The group welcomes all individuals aged 16 years or older to join. Membership eligibility reflects changes made this year by the National League of Women Voters to open membership to non-U.S. citizens as well as to young adults who are 16 and 17 years old.
