Ridgewood Rec Offers Backyard Beekeeping Course

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- The Parks and Recreation Department and Ridgewood Environmental Advisory Committee will host a session on backyard beekeeping on Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Stable.

An introduction to bee keeping will be held in Ridgewood.

The introductory workshop will include information on equipment and supplies, the care and handling of bees, clothing, colony health, costs involved, and where to go to learn more.

Registration is required for each classes.
