Lastly, the Genealogical Society of Bergen County will host a 7 p.m. June 27 meeting entitled “Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR)” in the library auditorium.

There will be two speakers: Jo Anne Makely, a trustee of both the Genealogical Society of Bergen County and American Ancestors/New England History Genealogical Society, and Lynne Skead, registrar of the Hester Schuyler Colfax Chapter of the National Society of the DAR.

They will share insights into the mission of the DAR as well as the process of joining, and talk about the resources at the DAR library in Washington, D.C. Everyone is welcome.

The library is located at 125 No. Maple Ave.
