The chairs -- some tied together, some folded down, some open and ready for people to sit in – were spotted in bundles on North Maple Avenue Wednesday.

Ridgewood residents have a long tradition of staking out and claiming their spots early to watch the annual parade.

This year’s parade is slated to begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4. The theme of the celebration is “Honoring Those Who Serve.”
