Free Help Available For Ridgewood Amateur Genealogists

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Genealogy consultants will be available to provide local history and genealogy help, at the Ridgewood Public Library, in three May sessions.

The sessions will be

  • Friday, May 20, from 1-3 p.m.;
  • Monday, May 23, from 4-6 p.m.; and
  • Wednesday, May 25, from 10 a.m. to noon.

On 7 p.m. on Monday the 23rd, the Genealogical Society of Bergen County will have its monthly meeting, with the theme "What's in a Name? Trouble!"

The meeting will discuss five individuals who were born with the same name, at about the same time and lived in the same place -- and all found trouble either in business or with women. All are welcome.
