Valley Medical Group’s Center for Integrative Medicine invites you to discover the benefits of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction by attending a free orientation session on Wednesday, June 8 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. The program is held at Valley’s Robert & Audrey Luckow Pavilion in Paramus.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a unique meditation technique that will enable you to develop a heightened awareness of your body and your emotions, to take charge of your life, and to learn to consciously and systemically work with your own stress, pain, illness and the challenges and demands of everyday life.

Valley’s MBSR program is based on the nationally recognized model developed and pioneered at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Since its inception at The University of Massachusetts in 1980, more than 15,000 participants have found MBSR to be a powerful means for taking charge of their lives and for enabling them to cope more effectively with stressful situations.

The next course schedule commences with the free orientation session on Wednesday, June 8, and then meets Wednesdays at 6 p.m. from June 15 to August 3. The program also includes an all-day session on Saturday, July 23.

To register for the free orientation session, for more information about the program, and for directions to the Luckow Pavilion, please call 201-291-6090.
