RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Six duo piano teams will perform at the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood's 12th Annual Two Piano Festival, on Sunday, May 22.
The performers are all professional musicians in the Northern New Jersey area, and they are donating their talent to raise scholarship money for a young pianist, in cooperation with the Professional Music Teachers' Guild of New Jersey.
The program will include two well-known works for two pianos: Chopin's Rondo in C, performed by Anita Gordon and Ana Berschadsky, and Ravel's La Valse, performed by Michelle and Christopher Kuo. In addition, there will be works with some spicy Spanish flavor: Gershwin's Cuban Overture, Da Falla's Spanish Dance No. 1, and a Carmen collaboration arranged for four hands.
A reception will follow the concert. A donation of $15 is appreciated. No reservations are necessary, and there are no advance ticket sales.
The concert will begin at 3 p.m., in the Society's Anderson Auditorium, 113 Cottage Place, in Ridgewood. For more information, call 201-444-6225.
