RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- People who aren't getting what they want from life might have blocked energy paths, says a Ridgewood practitioner who will lead a talk at the library.
Anne Deatly will show participants how to tap into the body’s innate wisdom and help them bring about positive change.
An Advanced Certified Energy Medicine Practitioner, she launched her business E Quantum Breakthroughs in Ho-Ho-Kus to help others benefit from the powers of energy medicine.
A former research scientist, she has a doctorate in microbiology from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She started looking into holistic healing when her significant other died of colon cancer.
"I always felt like maybe we could have done more," she said.
A $20 Internet kit gave her a quick lesson on energy healing, and really, her start. It was there she found the flier that led her to hear Donna Eden, a leader in holistic healing.
"She was speaking right here, local. My whole body shook," Deatly said. "I found out every medicine taps into the innate wisdom of the body to heal itself. She was someone traveling all over the world and I couldn't believe there was so much interest in this."
That one lecture led her to take Eden's four-year course. She then went on to study an additional two years and is an instructor as well.
"I had no intention of leaving my job. I just wanted to learn some techniques, make sure I was healthy and make sure my family would stay healthy," Deatly said.
"But once I started doing it I wanted to learn more and more," she added. "It was calling me, like a magnetic pull. I gave two months' notice and I knew I had to do this, start something new. I had no idea how to start a business."
Deatly says she ultimately teaches clients to unblock themselves.
"I listen for key words about where their energy can be stuck. I look for emotional issues. Diseases are caused by emotional issues," she said. "I look for limiting beliefs. I try to re-write the limiting beliefs so people will be more empowered."
She says she taps into the body.
"The body has all the answers," she said. "Why not learn how to tap into that? It’s easy to learn."
It’s important to be vibrating at a higher frequency, according to Deatly, and that happens when people learn how to change their thoughts.
"Change your thought, change your frequency," she says.
The Ridgewood Public Library talk is at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11. No registration is necessary.
At the talk, Deatly will announce two upcoming, though undated, workshops:
- 2-day workshop: Conscious Women Leaders Transformation to Making a Bigger Impact
- 12-week group program: Conscious Women Leaders Journey to Creating a Prosperous and Abundant Life.
The Ridgewood Public Library is located at125 N. Maple Ave., Ridgewood.
