Fair Lawn Olympic Rower Joins Ridgewood's 'One Book' Celebration

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — Olympic rowers Aquil Abdullah and Tracy Eisser of Fair Lawn will be at the Ridgewood YMCA’s “One Village, One Book” celebration Sunday.

Abdullah was the first African-American male to qualify for Summer Olympics in the sport of rowing.

The 12 to 2 p.m. event will feature a “The Boys in the Boat” book discussion, food, music, a rowing competition and more.

All ages are encouraged to attend.
