RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Dr. Travis Stork, Host of "The Doctors" on TV will sign copies of his book, "The Lose Your Belly Diet" Tuesday, Jan. 3 at Bookends in Ridgewood.
The book emphasizes the importance of building "a diverse population of gut microbes," which plays an important role in our health, said momtrends.com.
There is emerging research on the links between our gut microbes and chronic diseases, and how taking care of these could aid in weight loss, and reducing such conditions as cancer, heart disease, and type 2 diabetes, according to the book review.
Stork is a board-certified emergency medical physician. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Duke University as a member of Phi Beta Kappa and earned his M.D. with honors from the University of Virginia, being elected into the honor society of Alpha Omega Alpha for outstanding academic achievement.
