Bermuda native Ryan Brining, 28, now of Wyckoff, opened White Maple Cafe on Memorial Day Weekend with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

White Maple's chef, Brian McGackin, is the former soux chef at Battello, a waterfront Italian restaurant in Jersey City, and the chef de cuisine at Carlstadt's Terre a Terre.

The cafe features American cuisine with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients, said Brining. His restaurant will be sourcing produce from Stokes Farm in Old Tappan and possibly Abma's Farm in Wyckoff.

White Maple Cafe is located at 47 E. Ridgewood Ave., Ridgewood.
